INTRODUCTION
The Air Force Military School, Jos (AFMS) was established in 18 August 1980 by the Nigerian Air Force through establishment order 3/80.
The primary objective is to provide a broad based Academic and Technical Education as well as Military training to post primary school children. The training would serve as a good foundation for their subsequent service in the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the Nigerian Air Force in particular. The students are admitted as Junior Airmen (JAM) with school uniforms parallel to that worn by Service personnel and rank badges placed upside down to indicate their junior status. The Institution is boys school and is fully residential.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF AFMS SCHOOL
The administrative and operational control of AFMS is by the Nigerian Air Force Training Command Kaduna.
